Workshops
My artistic educational journey has taken me to many distinct workshops that have provided various outlets for my creative nature. Artists will often grow to new heights after studying and further appreciating the nuances of different art forms. I have attended workshops on three different continents learning from various teachers and masters.
• Light and Color in Nature
• Still Life
• Portraits
• Sculpture
• Murals
• Pottery
“Every painting begins as a rough raw statement in paint. Refinement develops to the level of the artist’s unique perception and presentation. While it is true every day is different and equally exciting, the process of building the painting (art) will constantly challenge one’s creativity and loyalty to the end product. Consistent focus combined with intense passion has provided the world with its most beautiful works of art. My journey of life and art has blessed me with the opportunity to both enjoy and share this wonderful calling”.
Perspective: “Hurricane Katrina totally devastated my home and painting workshop but could not bring to an end the passion that has motivated my painting. Through my artist life over the years I’ve experienced countless aspects in life. Painting has enhanced an inner strength and being on the edge of an accomplishment is humbling. By a willingness to change, growth can be achieved. I make every effort to give more to the moment on a canvas, which reflects my love of color and light”.
My most recent travels in Europe ended with a fine art show in Portugal. In 2008 I’ve exhibited in Houma, LA, and Doylestown, PA. with more shows on the horizon.
